Benn Schecter is a Vice President at Pegasus Asset Management where he oversees the management and operation of over 130 properties encompassing more than 1.5 million square feet and over 200 tenants. Mr. Schecter oversees the day-to-day operations of the company’s portfolio, identifying and implementing best practice strategies to maximize the performance of all properties under the firm’s management.
Prior to joining Pegasus Asset Management in 2019, Mr. Schecter worked as a Commercial Property Manager for Bolour Associates, a privately-owned real estate investment, development, and finance firm. Prior to joining Bolour Associates, Mr. Schecter worked as a Tax Associate for Westfield Corporation, (now Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield) a multi-national REIT with $40 billion in retail assets. Before joining Westfield Corporation, Mr. Schecter worked as the Assistant to the President at AECOM (NYSE: ACM), a multi-national engineering design firm with annual revenues of $20 billion worldwide. Before joining AECOM, Mr. Schecter worked as an Asset Management Administrative Assistant for Macerich (NYSE: MAC), a national REIT with $10 billion in retail assets. In this role, Mr. Schecter supported the operations of the firm’s Acquisitions, Operations, and Real Estate Tax divisions within the Asset Management department.
Mr. Schecter received an MBA from Loyola Marymount University in 2018, and B.S. in Managerial Economics from the University of California, Davis, in 2007. Mr. Schecter was raised in West Los Angeles and currently resides in El Segundo with his wife, Jennifer.
