Chad Buelow is a Managing Director at Pegasus, where he is responsible for arranging and structuring debt financing for commercial real estate investments throughout the country from commercial banks, credit unions, CMBS lenders, debt funds and life insurance companies. Mr. Buelow’s experience includes permanent, bridge and construction financing secured by virtually all property types, with a focus on retail shopping centers, multifamily properties, office buildings and hotels. In addition, Mr. Buelow has extensive experience representing financial institutions in connection with the disposition of performing and non-performing loans and REO properties. Mr. Buelow also has experience representing investors in connection with the acquisition of distressed assets from financial institutions and the FDIC.

Before founding Pegasus Capital Markets in 2013, Mr. Buelow was Co-Founder and Managing Principal of Verona Capital Markets Inc., a boutique real estate investment banking firm based in Los Angeles, where he arranged debt and equity financing for institutional and middle market clients and represented financial institutions in connection with the disposition of distressed assets.

Prior to his experience at Verona, Mr. Buelow was a Senior Associate at Pircher, Nichols & Meeks, a national real estate law firm headquartered in Los Angeles, where he was a real estate finance attorney specializing in the representation of lenders and borrowers in connection with mortgage and mezzanine loan transactions. While at Pircher, Mr. Buelow supervised the closing of hundreds of loans throughout the country involving all types of commercial real estate. Before joining Pircher, Mr. Buelow was an Associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Cooley Godward LLP in Palo Alto, California.

Mr. Buelow received a J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 2000. In 1997, he received a B.A., with Distinction, in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he was elected by the faculty to Phi Beta Kappa. Mr. Buelow has been a member of the State Bar of California since his admission in December, 2000, and is a member of the Real Property Law Section of the California Lawyers Association. Mr. Buelow is also a frequent speaker on real estate finance topics and industry trends.
